A Quick tour of my first Book from the Family Book Creator Plug In for Family Tree Maker. This book was not edited for this video, but that the way it was when I opened it.

  3. Elizabeth McMurrey and Patricia O'Donnell Kuhn -- It's a one person shop. It's a great plug in, and many years in the coming.

    Sorry,

  4. Great Russ!  Because it is in book form, those who are not genealogists will certainly be able to enjoy it.  You have made a treasure to pass on-the fruit of your years of labor!

  5. Amazing. I now how long it took me to create my first book. I am looking forward to utilizing this plug-in once I have "cleaned up my digital research files

  6. Very nice, Russ. I love that it generates an editable Word document. Seeing the end product shows just how important entering our data correctly is. Even without any editing, you have created a wonderful book to pass on for many generations to come.

  7. D. B. The developer did a great job, I think. I know he worked a very long time to get it to work the way it works.

June Butka Understand that. Once I got my "book" format down,  it became easy. This makes it even easier.

Karin Coppernoll - The first time I saw that Book, my clean up effort really showed, to me at least, It also showed be a couple of places I still need to work on.

    It's a great plug in.

  8. I think so as well.  Can't wait to get the full version.  Too many other expenses this week, but soon.

  9. Ann Royal - The hardest part was the set up, which is why I blogged about that first. But I used  / reused some of the up front information that I have used in the past. But the suggested paragraphs are great, especially for an non-genealogist.

    Good luck,

    Russ

  10. Agreed.  The biggest saver for me will be the time.  If I can get the basic book created, and this is beyond basic, then I can add stories later, and simply update the TOC.  That's what makes it very cool.

If you know how to use those Microsoft Word Codes, that you can see, then the answer is probably Yes. I just haven't done that type of work for too many years. But, I am sure that it can be done.
