A FTM2017 (for the Mac) was having difficulty managing a large Marriage Report, where relationships needed to be updated.

ReplyDeleteJust discovered that if I have no marriage date, the Marriage Report relation shows as "Spouse - None"
Lindley Roff I just checked and that is not what I am seeing. I see Spouce - Ongoing. I have a number of folks without Marriage Dates. All are Spouse - Ongoing

ReplyDeleteIt looks like I added these in another version of FTM - well before 2014 even. And there does not seem to be a choice in the FTM 2017 People -> Filter -> Filter In -> Other -> Union Relationship Status -> Value ...for "None".
Any suggestions? Maybe I'll just have to go through them one by one.
Lindley Roff -- Not sure that you can add the "None". How about FilterIn > Union Relationship Status . Does not equal > Ongoing
ReplyDeleteYup, that got the "None" ones, thank you. Just over 1,400 of them - some with and some without marriage dates.

Lindley Roff - but, cleaning up a database isn't always a bad thing. You might look at your Citations on the folks that show up in this report as you clean up that persons profile. Just a thought. In fact, that is what I am doing now.
