Just some observations when doing a Web Merge, with FTM2017, with a Social Security Death Index (SSDI) Record. Specifically the Death Location fact, creating / using a Last Residence Fact, a State Issued Fact, and the use of the SSN.

Hi Russ ... Do you use the same template for both social security death index and U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007, because they give some different info?
ReplyDeleteSharon Morrissey - No I do not. They are DIFFERENT
ReplyDeleteCan you give me a hint for what template you use for U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007? Do I need to create one in FTM or is there an existing one? When I put in online index, the only one I get is for the SSDI. I thought I would try to clean up my FTM and would start with the SSDI as well as the SS App & claims Index. Thanks for your help.

The Database Title

Website creator/owner:
Ancestry.com Operations, Inc.
Website title:
Ancestry
URL:
https://ancestry.com
Year:
2015
Citation detail:
entry for [ the name the record is for ]; [ social security number ]
This is what I enter into that field so that someone could do a search for that name and maybe the Social Security Number. Something to help someone, including me, how to search for this record.
The Citation text foe;d is for my information. I put in, or the Web Merge that information will be there. I also enter
: access dd month yyyy
So, I can copy / paste that into the Reference Note;
What that template ?
It is the best Template to get the desired output to meet, to the best of my ability to meet the EvidenceExplained standard.
Try it.
Russ
Thank you, thank you...
